Steinway Piano Gallery San Diego is opening! All CAPMT teachers especially SDSC teachers are invited to their OPEN HOUSE on September 30, 6:30-8:30 pm. Address: 9222 Miramar Rd, San Diego, CA 92126.

October 5, Saturday, 11AM. Masterclass with Steinway Artist and radio host (NPR “From the Top”) Christopher O’Riley. Teachers and students are invited to attend this free educational event. Venue: Steinway Piano Gallery San Diego. Address: 9222 Miramar Rd, San Diego, CA 92126

October 20, Saturday, 1pm: MTNA Studio Festival and Young Artists Competition (Piano Division)
Venue: Carmel Valley Branch Library, Community Room. 3919 Townsgate Drive, San Diego, CA 92130.
This day will host two events: competitive (YAC) and non-competitive divisions (MTNA Studio Festival). Performers will receive comments, medals, and certificates.

October 26, Saturday, 1pm. Young Artists Competition (String Division, other instruments) and Concerto Competition. Designed for highly-motivated students, performers compete by instrument and abilities. First place winners will be invited to perform in the Honors Recital and Gala 2020.
Venue: Scripps Ranch Miramar Branch Library Community Room, 10301 Scripps Lake Dr., San Diego, CA 92131. 

REGISTRATION DEADLINE FOR THESE EVENTS: October 14, 2019.

November 24, Sunday, 1 pm. CAPMT Piano Auditions and Ensemble Auditions. Venue: Greene Music Recital Hall, 7480 Miramar Rd, San Diego, 92126.  Piano Auditions and Ensemble Auditions are non-competitive, welcoming programs designed to encourage and motivate students of all ages. For many teachers and students, this is their favorite event of the year! Repertoire is performed in an audition, recital, or festival setting, depending on the district/chapter. Students are given constructive comments, along with a rating from 1-5. Students receiving a “5” are invited, but not required, to perform at the CAPMT Northern or Southern Festivals.  Our state website www.capmt.org is now in full swing.
