    • Recognition event for all teacher members and award-winning students  of SDSC, including scholarship recipients. A formal reception is included together with a recital with featured student performers.

Fall Events 2019

  • Piano Auditions and Ensemble Auditions (CAPMT State event) – Sunday, November 24, 2019, 1-5 pm.
    • Piano Auditions and Ensemble Auditions are non-competitive, welcoming programs designed to encourage and motivate students of all ages. For many teachers and students, this is their favorite event of the year! Repertoire is performed in an audition, recital, or festival setting, depending on the district/chapter. Students are given constructive comments, along with a rating from 1-5. Students receiving a “5” are invited, but not required, to perform at the CAPMT Northern or Southern Festivals.

Competitive and non-competitive events at the chapter level are presented in a recital format. Events are adjudicated by selected top-notch teachers and musicians from the local teaching community. These programs celebrate everyday music students as well as well-motivated and competitive students of all instruments from all ages, levels, and capability within a nurturing and educational environment.
